We’ve been providing updates about the treacherous reach of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which is pushing harmful bills designed to do away with unions and worker rights across the United States.
Some major corporations, inlcuding Coca Cola, PepsiCo and Kraft Foods – which held memberships in ALEC – have announced plans to break affiliation with the organization.
The Nation’s John Nichols takes ALEC to task and demands that elected legislators be called out for their association with the group.
ALEC Exposed lists elected leaders with ties to the group on its web site. Take a look and see if your senator or representative is named. If so, tell them why ALEC model legislation is harmful to public employees, unions and -- most importantly -- to your future.
